📘 2. 1 Samuel 29–31:13 – When God Protects Through Closed Doors

Summary:
David is rejected from joining the Philistine army, which seems like a setback but turns out to be God's way of keeping him from fighting against Israel. Meanwhile, Saul dies tragically in battle, marking the end of a disobedient reign.

Discussion Questions:

📗 3. John 11:55–12:19 – From Death to Glory

Summary:
Jesus is anointed by Mary in Bethany. The religious leaders plot to kill Him (and Lazarus), but many come to believe. Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey, fulfilling prophecy.

Discussion Questions:

  1. 💧 Why was Mary’s act of anointing Jesus so powerful and prophetic?

  2. 🐴 What does the triumphal entry tell us about the kind of King Jesus is?

  3. 🌿 How can we make room in our lives to welcome Jesus fully, like the crowd waving palm branches?


📘 4. Psalm 118:1–18 – God is My Salvation and Strength

Summary:
A powerful song of thanksgiving and trust in God. Even through distress and discipline, the psalmist declares, “I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord.”

Reflection Questions:

  1. 🛐 What does verse 17 (“I shall not die but live...”) mean to you personally?

  2. 🧠 How can we remain thankful even in times of chastening or hardship?


📙 5. Proverbs 15:24–26 – The Fear of the Lord Guides Life

Summary:
Wisdom leads the righteous away from destruction. The Lord detests the proud but is near to the upright.

Short Reflection:

  • 🕊️ How does the fear of the Lord help you navigate your day-to-day decisions?

  1. Thank God for divine protection, even when we don’t understand it.

  2. Invite Jesus to take His rightful place as King in our hearts.

  3. Declare life over anyone facing a dark or discouraging season.
