1. Introduction
God calls us to a life of consecration, vigilance in the face of difficult times, and a hope that surpasses the riches of this world. Today, we will explore:
✅ The importance of consecration (Numbers 6)
✅ True wealth and the warning against pride (Mark 12, Psalm 49)
✅ The fear of the Lord and its impact on our future (Proverbs 10)

2. Study of the Bible Passages
A. Numbers 6:1-7:89 – Consecration to God
- The Nazarite vow (Numbers 6:1-21)
- A person could dedicate themselves to God by abstaining from wine, not cutting their hair, and avoiding contact with the dead.
- This vow shows that God calls some to a higher level of consecration.
- The priestly blessing (Numbers 6:22-27)
- "The Lord bless you and keep you!"
- God wants to fill us with peace and grace.
- Offerings for the tabernacle (Numbers 7:1-89)
- Each tribal leader brought an offering, showing that everyone should participate in God’s work.

B. Mark 12:38-13:13 – Warning and Perseverance
- Jesus condemns the pride of religious leaders (Mark 12:38-40)
- They love honors but exploit the weak.
- Principle: God judges hypocrisy and pride.
- The widow’s offering (Mark 12:41-44)
- She gives everything she has, unlike the rich who give from their surplus.
- Principle: God looks at the heart, not the amount of our offering.
- Jesus foretells difficult times (Mark 13:1-13)
- He predicts the destruction of the temple and coming persecutions.
- Principle: We must remain firm and faithful, even in trials.

- How can we avoid pride and serve God sincerely?
- How can we keep our faith strong in the face of persecution and hardships?
C. Psalm 49:1-20 – True Wealth
- Earthly riches are temporary (v.6-12).
- Only those who trust in God are truly secure (v.15).
- Principle: Our true value comes not from what we own but from our relationship with God.

- How can we keep our hearts detached from material wealth?
- What is true wealth according to God?
D. Proverbs 10:27-28 – The Fear of the Lord
- The fear of the Lord prolongs life (v.27).
- The hope of the righteous brings joy (v.28).
- Principle: True security comes from fearing God, not from material possessions.

- What does it mean to "fear the Lord" in our daily lives?
- How can we cultivate a hope that does not depend on circumstances?
